NJ State Approval for 2003 - 2004

Technology Training Seminars at
Pleasantville Board of Education


T.Byrd Computers conducted two very successful workshops at the last two In-Services at Pleasantville School District. 

On January 31, 2003 we conducted two workshops:
   Introduction to EXCEL - 24 secretaries and bookkeepers of the district attended this workshop learning the fundamental features of using Microsoft Excel 2002.  We received great evaluations from the attendee's and they requested our return to do full day training classes.

   Time Management - 24 secretaries and bookkeepers attended this workshop learning tips and techniques to improving their time management skills.  All attendee's received a free Time Management software program and calendar.  We also received great evaluations from this workshop and was asked to return to conduct a level two program.

On February 27, 2003 we conducted a Microsoft Word Seminar for the Parent Liaison staff.  This seminar was very productive, since this staff does an enormous amount of letter writing, we trained them on creating letters and mail merge.  All attendees were very excited about learning how to do their job more efficiently using time saving techniques.  Again we received great evaluations and were asked to return to conduct full day training sessions for other tasks that are important to their positions.

Approval on New Classes

T.Byrd Computers submitted to the NJ Department of Education for approval on several new classes.  We received our approval effective June 1, 2003.  Those classes are as follows:

  • Code Enforcement Officer

This 8 week training program prepares the student for a position in any municipality as a code enforcemrnt officer.   Testing available on site.

  • Code Enforcement Administrator
  • Hotel Services Management Specialist

This 12 week program offers beginner and advanced training in Ms Word and Access.  Students also learn management techniques for running a front desk as well as advanced training in using the Hotel Reservation software program.

  • 10 Week Expert Classes in Ms Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Front Page, Publisher and Quick books

These ten week training programs offer specific training that covers all levels: introduction, intermediate and advanced training in the software program.

  • Medical Terminology Analyst

This eight week program is designed for the person who has taken a medical billing or transcription program and did not receive formal training in medical terminology.

  • Medical Billing/Coding Analyst

This eight week program is designed for the person who has taken a medical terminology program and did not receive formal training in billing and coding.

  • How to start a Medical  Billing Business

This eight week program is designed for the person who has taken all of the necessary medical billing training programs, but needs to learn how to setup and run a home based business doing medical coding for Doctors.   

  • Web Page Design Specialist

This sixteen week program is designed for the person who is interested in obtaining the necessary skills to design corporate web pages and start their own web page design business.

Position Available:   

Marketing Representative
Position requires minimum of 2 years experience in the marketing of a small business.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, and Publisher. Must be a self starter, people person and be able to show results immediately.  Salary is determined by experience.   

Retired Security Officer

Looking for a retired security officer to teach eight week security curriculum.  Must be Pc Literate or will train, salary is determined by experience and knowledge.
